I acquired (again) a MCS Alpha 1. The KIM-1 alike 6502 development system in a case, ready to run. With the processor card on top.
First time I had one was in 1979, for a review in the magazine Radio Bulletin.
Second time around 2000, sold as part of the big cleanup.
And now the third, a fully functional and complete with the documentation.
A German developed system by Micronic Computer Systeme, short MCS.
I also found over the years documents and dumps of ROMS for the big brother, the MCS Beta 8 development system.
This is a good moment to celebrate the new family member of KIM-1 like systems with better scans of the paperwork for MCS Alpha 1 and the cards and software of the Beta 8, more new photos and a study into the ROM dumps with disassembly and published listings.
You find the result here.
